The Composting Process
Cleanit Greenit Composting is a managed process that controls biological decomposition. It transforms biodegradable material into a humus-like substance called compost. The composting process uses various natural microorganisms, such as bacteria and fungi, to break down the complex organic compounds into simpler and more stable substances. The key to the operation is to keep the microbiological process active by managing aeration, moisture content and excess heat.
Since beginning operations, CG has diverted more than 400,000 tonnes of organic materials from landfill.
